The Left would of course have us believe that anti-Semitism is a vice of the political Right. But what with Nazis, skinheads, and even country-club bigots being distinctly scarce on campus, it seems to have fallen to leftists to uphold Western civilization's oldest prejudice.

The Jew-haters at Columbia, and they do exist, fall into three categories:

1. Marxists for whom Jews are the embodiment of everything capitalist.

2. Black radicals, especially those influenced by the Nation of Islam.

3. Arabs and their sympathizers.

These categories sometimes overlap, though mercifully we have not yet seen a triple-threat on campus. Comically, some of the perpetrators are themselves Jewish, though this absurdity is no excuse.

We acknowledge that there is such a thing as honorable criticism of the Jews, as of any ethnic group. However, we feel that the cases we document go beyond this.

We do not believe that such views, however repugnant, should be censored. They should, however, be condemned by all responsible parties and not rewarded as they currently are.
